At the tailor with Maradona

Director Florian Froschmayer loves sports and his job.

In Munich, director Florian Froschmayer, 44, has filmed, among other things, for the series SOKO 5113, and for the film Nous les Suisses he accompanied the Swiss national soccer team at the European Championship in Portugal in 2004.

SZ: Sport is ...

Great...! I like to do it (actually), but unfortunately much too little. But I watch it more often on TV. Actually, sports is the only thing on TV that I do not watch on demand, but really when it is being broadcasted.

Your current fitness condition?

My doctor says I have a heart like a 25-year-old. I would say I could be even fitter. At least my Apple Watch tells me several times a day to move more.

Swing up forwards or stop at a bar?

In the past, definitely swing up forwards. Today I am also interested in the economic upswing.

Physical education was for you?

The only subject I looked forward to! I also always liked break.

Your personal record?

35 push-ups, top scorer in 8th grade, passed gold test at Swiss Ski School, winner of chess tournament in 7th grade.

Stadium visitor or broadcasted sports?

Both. Unforgettable 1982 Germany - France on TV, or 2006 Germany - Argentina and France - Italy in the stadium.

Bayern or Sechzig?

What Bayern has been doing for years is impressive. But FC Zurich at heart.

Your everlasting sports idol?

Roger Federer, Bernhard Russi, Toni Schumacher.

A formative experience?

Soccer World Cup 94, European Championship 96, Olympic Games 98, 2008 and 2010, when I was live on site and was allowed to work in each case. During the opening ceremony in Beijing, I was in front of the stadium, which was more impressive than being inside the stadium two years later.

In which discipline would you be an Olympic champion?

Hanging pictures straight.

Which athlete would you like to swap jerseys with?

I once stood next to Diego Maradona at a tailor in Beijing, where I wanted to have a suit made and so did he. We couldn't have swapped, because he's much smaller than me. I wouldn't want to swap my profession with anyone either. I love my profession.
