His acquaintance can only be recovered dead. An analysis of the events leading up to the accident raises doubts about the pilot's statement. 

Season 5 / episode 10: The last ride
In the harbor of Neustadt, yacht thieves are up to mischief. But these are not mean criminals, but two thieves with extremely noble motives who are on the move for a particular goal.

Season 6 / episode 3: Shadows from the past
Head of operations Gruber's past comes to light. He was there when refugees were shot on the Baltic Sea in GDR times. A scandal is looming, his existence is on the line, but Gruber has a unique chance to put the perpetrator behind bars. 

Season 6 / episode 4: Twilight of the gods
The coast guards and a navy submarine are helping a sailing yacht that has caught fire. Radio operator Kamp is tasked with rescuing the castaways, who are already on the submarine and transferring them to the Coast Guard vessel. When the submarine submerges, the crew quickly realizes that the emergency was faked to hijack the submarine. 

Season 6 / episode 8: Fake love
The coast guard is led to a fisherman who is supposed to be running an illegal business with Poland. Among the fishermen of the region, who are struggling with monitored catch quotas, it is the order of the day to earn a little extra money by fishing illegally. 

Season 7 / episode 3: Late revenge
A bomb is found in the operations center. Stuck to it is a cassette tape with a demand. A former employee is trying to extort the pension to which he believes he is entitled. 

Season 7 / episode 8: The attack
Captain Ehlers is enjoying a private cruise when, in a flash, an attacker emerges from the darkness and pushes him overboard. With time running out, will the coast guards manage to find their boss in time?

Season 7 / episode 9: Death in the net
The coast guards come across a drift net floating in the water. A fisherman must have lost it. Hanging from the towline is a dead man who has been murdered with a harpoon.

Season 8 / episode 2: Dark business
During a patrol, the coast guards make a gruesome discovery: the body of a young man is floating in the Baltic Sea. A fresh scar in his kidney area puzzles Captain Ehlers and his crew because the dead man is not known to any hospital and doesn't carry any papers. Organ trafficking on the Baltic Sea?

Season 8 / episode 3: Between Heaven and Hell
Radio operator Kamp and former boatwoman Sandhoff marry on the coast guard's operational boat. But to everyone's horror, an explosion on the high seas shakes the coast guard ship and brings the engine room to a standstill. During the feverish search for the cause, it quickly becomes apparent that unknown persons have mined the ship's outer hull. 

Season 9 / episode 5: Lost in the depths
A serious ferry accident with 120 fatalities had recently occurred on the Baltic Sea. However, the shipping company rejects any blame for the ferry accident. Prior to departure, the inspection of the shipping company inspector showed that the ferry could start its journey with minor defects, which allegedly would not affect the sailing ability. 

Season 9 / episode 8: Hunted without mercy
On the cargo ship 'MS Kiel', the stowaway is caught trying to secretly obtain food for himself and his sister and is knocked unconscious by one of the crew members. Believing that he has killed the stowaway, he puts him in a barrel and throws it overboard. The coast guards find the badly injured Russian and begin the search for his sister.

Season 10 / episode 7: Rendezvous with Death
During a patrol trip, Captain Ehlers and his crew fish out the corpse of the globetrotter Franz Gebauer from the Baltic Sea. The man is presumed to have drowned. There are no traces of violence. However, later investigations reveal that Gebauer was a food allergy sufferer and - triggered by an allergic shock - went overboard of his old cutter and suffocated to death.

Season 14 / episode 14: A deadly game
A helicopter reports a person floating in the sea. Captain Ehlers and a paramedic recover a corpse tied up by its arms and legs. Christine is shocked when she finds out about her husband's death.

Season 14 / episode 15: Tracked down
Nadja and Jannik are enjoying their sailing trip on the summery Baltic Sea. It's hot, but with their water guns, they get the cooling they've been longing for. When Nadja's gaze falls on the nautical chart, her view dims.

Season 14 / episode 16: The new guy
Fortunately, the coast guards were able to arrive on the scene in time and rescue a seriously injured woman. However, it is not yet clear whether she will survive.
