Today, I have the pleasure of welcoming Florian Froschmayer to our show, a native Swiss who immigrated to Germany for his passion for filmmaking. When Florian was rejected by the prestigious HFF Munich, it only fueled his ambition to become a director and make films in Germany even more. Today, Florian has directed in over 60 films and TV series episodes, making him one of the most experienced directors in the country. I was not only interested in his journey into the film industry but also in how commuting between Zurich and Berlin, and later between Berlin and Los Angeles, has affected his life. As a great lover of America, it has always been his dream to establish himself in the most renowned film industry in the world as well. I talked to Florian Froschmayer in our current episode about what he had to sacrifice for this step and the challenges brought about by the Corona pandemic.
